Monday, March 9th, 2009    Subscribe To Our FeedIf you’re trying to get out of credit card debt you may feel this article focus’s more on relationships as opposed to paying off your credit card debt. However, good relationships are a very important part of paying debt. In fact it will need to be a team effort.
The last thing you want to do is ruin a relationship over money you owe. You’re choice are limited if you have a family because you have to focus on them first. Let’s review.
For one you can get divorced. That’s just plain stupid if you love your spouse. It’s just not worth it. keep in mind you can increase your debt. Plus it can ruin you and the ones you love.
You can think you know best go behind her back and start paying the debt with your family’s extra money each month. That doesn’t work to well because it’s just plain dishonest.
Lastly you can just give in not make any effort at all. That won’t work either because all it will do is cause you a ton of anger and hatred towards others. Believe me I know from experience. It’s not a good situation at all because you’ll feel like you’re doing nothing for yourself.
You’ll need to meet on common ground with your spouse. It’s all about give and take, you’ll need to have your spouse involved in your efforts. Other than taking no measures to pay off your debt each month settle for using less money to pay it off.
You should also keep in mind that your spouse will see things differently than you will. This is not a bad thing. We all need other points of view to do our best. You’ll be a better person for this.
If you want to get out of credit card debt and need your spouses backing, then you’re best bet is to put a plan together to pay off your debt. Then you’ll want to discuss your plan with your spouse and see what’s viable to pay off without compromising your family’s needs.
