Debt can be one of the most stressful things in a person’s life and the only way you can eliminate the stress is to begin managing the debt. As long as you have a plan, you do not necessarily have to be debt free. Other things will begin to fall into place once you begin to see your debt decrease.

Some might say that you should start with the account with the highest interest rate and pay that one first and there is nothing wrong with that plan. The reason for paying the lowest first is you feel accomplishment sooner and it will keep you motivated to keep moving forward.

Pay minimum payments on all your accounts and pay as much as you can towards the account you have selected to eliminate first. Once you have paid it off, select another account as your target account and follow the same process. You should have more to pay towards this account, since you have already paid one of your accounts off. If you follow this procedure you will soon begin to see your debts decrease as well as your stress level. Getting you life back on track can begin with getting debt help.
